We are all part of the universe's energy and it is in every living being on earth. By understanding the elements and how you can play with them in every day life, gives you the key of how you effortlessly can create a sustainable health. Ayurveda helps us become aware of our connection to nature and the five elements.
Space, is the element full of energi that connect everything.
Air, creates the capability to hear, feel and move
Fire, is the element that transform, heat and create light
Water, is life and help to circulate and bring freshness
Earth, is the element that build up and create stability
The uniqueness of Ayurveda is the combination of these five elements that create three different qualities. These qualities are called Doshas, and are:
Vata: is the combination of space and air and controls all movements of the body and mind.
Pitta: is the combination of fire and little water and controls heat, metabolism, digestion, as well the digestion of the mind.
Kapha: is the combination av water and earth and is the quality that binds and hold together the body and mind.
A large part of our illnesses and imbalances are a consequence of the lack of attention of our body signals caused by an imbalance in the doshas. Then it forms toxins (poisons) and blockages in the body. The healing process in Ayurveda is therefore eliminating blockages and release it from our body and mind. By using the law of nature by understanding the five elements and the three qualities Vata, Pitta and Kapha, you have the universal gift to longevity and harmony.
